The American Academy of Dramatic Arts is coming
to Boston
Join us Saturday, April 5, 2025 for a free Professional Acting Workshop and Academy Info Session Event,
and experience what it's like to be a student at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
For over two decades, Susan Pilar has had the honor of being a core faculty member at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, teaching, directing and conducting international acting workshops.
She has also had the privilege of teaching for over ten years at Terry Schreiber Studio, as well as producing, directing and creating original content with her film company, Reel Intentions.
Ms. Pilar also performed as an actor at numerous theaters including Lincoln Center (Broadway), Manhattan Theatre Club, The Public Theatre (New York Shakespeare Festival), Ensemble Studio Theatre and The Raw Space (Actor’s Studio). Some of her Regional Credits include productions at The Guthrie Theatre, American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, The Shakespeare Theatre in DC, The Passage Theatre and The Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts.
After completing her fellowship at the Folger, Ms. Pilar went on to receive her MFA from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. She has also appeared on TV’s Law and Order, The Cosby Show, One Life to Live, Guiding Light, Another World, and As the World Turns. Ms. Pilar loves teaching and directing in New York and abroad and is excited about her expanding artistic journey and the joy she receives from co-creating with others.

Acting Workshop with Susan Pilar
11:00AM to 12:00PM
Prospective students attending the Info Session are invited to come early to take part in a free acting workshop taught by Academy Master Acting Instructor, Susan Pilar.
Experience training from one of The Academy's master instructors.
Learn to explore a relaxed, free, truthful use of self in imaginary circumstances.
Learn exercises for spontaneity, concentration and acting on your natural impulses.
Light refreshments will be provided
Space is limited, please register early.
