Four-Week Evening Program
Designed for adult students seeking intensive training in both acting and on-camera techniques within a flexible evening schedule, this program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 10 pm.
On Tuesday evenings, dive into an Acting & Scene Study session to build core performance skills, rehearse, and refine your creative approach to a scene. On Thursdays, shift focus to on-camera technique, blocking, and recording those scenes in an engaging Acting for Camera studio session.
Whether you're just starting your acting journey or looking to hone your craft, this program enhances acting ability, boosts confidence, and sharpens public speaking skills—perfect for both artistic growth and professional development.

Age Requirements
Applicants must be at least 16 years old by the start of the program.
Summer Program Refund Policy
Requests for refunds must be addressed to the Director of Summer Programs and received no later than 30 days prior to the start date of each Summer Program. Requests for refunds made less than 30 days prior to the program start date will not be granted.

On-Campus Program
On-campus housing is available for an additional fee for all programs, except the Evening Intensive and Online Intensive. Our student housing is located next to campus in the trendy NoMad district of Midtown Manhattan, offering community connection, convenience, and an invaluable immersion experience for both training and living. Limited spaces are available. Find more details on the New York Academy House residence here.
Scholarships and financial aid are reserved for those attending our full-time program. At the time you are accepted into our Summer Program, you will receive a tuition payment deadline. However, if necessary, we would be happy to work with you to the best of our ability to extend this deadline pending space in the program.
While we are unable to provide scholarships or financial aid for summer students, we do have several special offers you may be eligible for.
We are unable to provide payment plans for our Summer Program.
Students must be at least 16 years of age to participate in the Summer Program. There is no upper age limit for Summer Program participants. Students will be sectioned by age whenever feasible.
The amount of time spent in class varies by program; please see the details below.
Additionally, students are expected to complete work outside of the classroom—such as research, character development, and memorization. However, each student is responsible for managing their own time to meet these expectations.

- Monday - Friday
- 24 hours per week
- 4-6 hours in class per day
Four-Week Script to Screen:
- Monday - Friday
- 24 hours per week
- 4-6 hours in class per day
Five-Week Comprehensive Foundation:
- Monday - Friday
- 20 hours per week
- 4-6 hours in class per day(number of hours may vary depending on elective selection)

Yes, depending on your selections, it may be possible to enroll in multiple programs over the summer. Please contact the Summer Team to discuss your options.
You will receive a formal letter confirming your completion via email at the end of the program.
No, an audition is not required. Instead, a decision will be made based off your completed application. Please be sure to include as much detail and information as possible so the committee can make the most informed decision.
